Who Are We???
Venturing Crew 80 is a group of young people interested in learning about emergency service with the assistance of amateur radio as a communications tool and participate in fun activities which include camping, high adventure, disaster preparedness and community service.
GOALS OF CREW 80 INCLUDE-
*Providing young people with First Aid skills that deal with emergency service. This medical training includes Basic First Aid skills all the way to First Responder.
*Providing a forum in which youth can develop social and leadership skills by organizing Crew activities and cooperating on Crew projects, and participating in Crew community and public service activities.
*To provide a means whereby youth can develop confidence and self sufficiency, share common interests, work toward common goals and explore career possibilities.
*Make new friends all over the world
*Learn a new language - MORSE CODE
*Visit interesting places working with radio, TV and satellite communications.
*Learn about radio, electronics and computers and associated career opportunities.
*Join a group where there are plenty of folks eager to provide help for newcomers.
*Have fun outdoors with communications for public service events, camping, hiking and high adventure.
